Look at the first official photos of the next generation 2011 Kia Sportage that will be unveiled at the upcoming 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The new Sportage carries the new Kia family look as seen on the Soul, Cadenza sedan and Sorento SUV, but it appears to have a more European flavor to it.

The five-door crossover shares its platform with the also new Hyundai Tucson, known as the Hyundai ix35 in Europe. It is longer and wider than the outgoing Sportage, something that should translate to improved cabin space.

The 2011 Sportage will be offered with the same 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter four cylinder engines coupled to six-speed transmissions as the Tuscon in North America, while in Europe, it will most likely get the same 1.7-liter and 2.0 liter diesels, and 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter gasoline units as the iX35.

The Kia Soul is a South Korea-produced compact, mini MPV launched at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. It has a bold and edgy design, and it comes with more styling and package combinations than any Kia vehicle created before. When it comes to its safety features, it’s apparently topnotch as it has been awarded by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) with 5 stars, which is the highest possible safety rating. Despite its size, it got an overall weighted score of 75%. Breaking down the crash test results, it was rated 87% for adult protection, 86% for child protection, 39% for pedestrian protection, and 86% for Safety Assist equipment.

A wide array of safety features have been incorporated into the Kia Soul’s compact design, such as advanced front and full-length side airbags, front seat active headrests, an anti-lock brake system with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, and rear disc brakes which are standard on all models with the exception of the Base trim. All these and the high-tensile strength steel and up-to-date safety technology used in the Kia Soul allowed the vehicle to be among the safest of B-segment family cards worldwide, and, following the European-built Kia cee’d, the second Kia vehicle to have received the highest possible safety rating from Euro NCAP.

Aside from the assurance that you have of the safety of the vehicle’s occupants when you drive it, you can benefit from the completeness of safety equipment in the Kia Soul when buying auto insurance for it. The all-new Kia’s Sportage SUV has been given away through a lot of designs that were made for the E.U. patent office.

The reason why we’re saying this is the use of some specific styling features such as the chrome trim, the tail lamp arrangement, the alloy wheel designs and the styling of the lower part of the front bumper, all of which look suspiciously conceptual.

But even so, what you’re looking at here is what you’ll get more or less when the 2011 Sportage arrives at the Korean automakers dealers either towards the end of the year or early 2011.

Under the bodywork, the Sorento’s smaller sibling shares its hardware with the new Hyundai Tucson (called iX35 in Europe and other markets).

That said, don’t expect any surprises under the hood with the U.S. Sportage being offered with the same 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter four cylinder engines coupled to six-speed transmissions as the Tuscon.

The European market Kia Sportage will get three diesels including a 115HP 1.7-liter unit, and a 2.0-liter engine with 134HP and 184HP, and two gasoline units with a displacement of 1.6-liter and 2.0-liters producing 140HP and 166HP respectively.

Look at the Kia Sorento SUV with a Cobra Technology & Lifestyle’s tuning. Cobra offers a variety of front, rear and rocker panel guards including a lower front bar with integrated LED daytime running lights.

Once buyer is done with the Kia Sorento body armor, he can also choose from numerous alloy wheel designs with diameters of 19 and 20 inches. The largest alloy wheels can be fitted with tires in size 265/45 R 20.

The special limited edition Kia Soul to be offered in the U.S. Based on the Soul+ model and called “Ignition”, the limited version features a unique ignition orange exterior finish with contrasting black rally stripes, a rear spoiler, an alloy fuel door and black 18-inch alloy wheels with machined accents.

Kia has loaded the Ignition with more features including a higher-grade audio system with iPod connection, center speaker, subwoofer, external amplifier and speaker lights, carpeted floor mats, moon roof, fender vents with side marker repeaters and fog lights.

The new Kia Soul Iginition is available for order with prices starting from $17,500 for the model with a five-speed manual gearbox.

Look at the new official photos of the Venga, the Kia’s new mini MPV, called Venga. The Kia Venga competitor in the B-segment that will rival the likes of the Opel Meriva and Citroen C3 Picasso. The Kia Venga, which was designed and will be produced in Europe, is 4,068 mm long and 1,600 mm tall with a stretchy 2,615 mm wheelbase that’s longer than let’s say.

The Kia’s proposal in the mini-MPV segment comes equipped with a sliding rear bench that can also fold flat increasing the car’s stuffing abilities along with a clever boot floor that provides a hidden storage area.

European customers can choose from two 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre gas and diesel engines, with outputs ranging from 75 to 115 horsepower.

The new Kia Venga will make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Kia releases first pictures of upcoming luxury sedan. Looks great! The new Kia VG sedan should make it debut at Detroit Auto Show in next year. The range of engines, possibly will include Kia’s 2.4-liter direct-injected four and 3.8-liter Lambda V6.

KIA MOTORS RELEASES FIRST IMAGES OF ALL-NEW MODEL

Kia Motors has today released the first images of its new premium saloon due to go on sale in Korea at the end of the year.

The new model, currently known by its code name VG, was shown in concept form at the Seoul Motor Show earlier this year and is set to replace the existing Opirus model in Korean, North American and European markets.

“VG clearly demonstrates the next stage in Kia’s design evolution and showcases our new design principle of ’sophistication by simplicity’. The exterior is a seamless blend of powerful front, sleek profile and sophisticated but simple rear lines to create an elegant and luxurious appearance,” commented Hyoung Keun Lee, Senior Executive Vice President and COO of International Business Division at Kia Motors Corporation.

There are no current plans to bring this model to the UK market.

One of the local British Kia dealers has donated a new Kia Soul to the Sussex Police department. The small Kia’s crossover will be used by the team of Police Community Support Officer’s (PCSOs) as part of their street briefings and the general safe-keeping of Horsham South’s communities.

“The car is as highly visible as we are!” said PCSO Charlotte Whittaker. “We were delighted to have been given a car by Toll House, but to have one that turns heads as swiftly as this one does only helps us become more visible to the public.”

Toll House Kia, which provided the police-branded Soul Shaker to the Sussex Police department for a year, promice to replace the car after six months.

Look at the first official photo of the facelifted 2010 Kia Cee’d. The new hatch will make its world debut at this fall’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

As we see, the 2010 Cee’d features a new fascia inspired by Kia’s latest models and concepts likes the Forte and KND-5. The cosmetic tidy-up includes the Kia firm’s signature grille surround flanked by a pair of reshaped headlamps, plus a new bumper and hood design.

Kia’s forthcoming mini-MPV was snapped in camo on the highway in the Czech Republic.

The five-seater MPV is a production version of Kia’s No3 Concept that was shown in Geneva earlier this year. It is anticipated that the small MPV’s engine range will comprise of 1.6-liter petrol and diesel units, both producing an output of 126HP, while certain markets may also receive a 115HP 1.6-liter diesel along with a range-topping 2.0-liter gasoline engine making 142HP.

Kia will unveil its new mini-MPV at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. European sales will starts before the end of the year. The new Kia’s MPV will be produced at the Hyundai Group’s new plant in the Czech Republic.
