Kia Optima Recalled

Kia Optima

Korean Kia, aka the Hyundai Group, has issued a recall for a total of 36,538 MY2001-2004 Kia Optima sedans sold in the so-called ‘Salt-Belt’ states. The recall is centered around the internal corrosion of the front subframe caused by the winter application of salt on the roads. Kia says if the problem is not fixed the corrosion of the front subframe could lead to the detachment of the lower control arm.
